I know how daunting the entire college application process can be for students and their families. Taking it one step at a time makes it manageable. In this era of proficiency-based grading and with an increasing amount of colleges becoming test score optional, the college essay matters more than ever. I will work with you to choose the topic that best reveals your strengths to the college admissions officers, and help you put your thoughts into all the right words.
EDITING FOR PROFESSIONALS
Let's face it, writing isn't everyone's passion. What takes some people a few minutes can take others agonizing hours. If you need help writing copy for any aspect of your professional life, I can help put your ideas and thoughts into clean writing. We can also work together to get your resume and/or Linkedin page updated and looking professional. Working together using shared Google Docs will maximize time and efficacy. You'll be able to copy and paste the final product right where you need it!
ABOUT ME
An English teacher by trade, I have taught at both the college and high school level for nearly 25 years. In addition to my work as a teacher, tutor, editor, writer, and high school administrator, I've held roles in communications, college counseling, and distance learning education. I earned a BA in English literature with a concentration in creative writing from Skidmore College and a M.Phil from Drew University. In addition to freelance writing, I write poetry and serve as my town's Poet Laureate. My poetry has been published in multiple journals and my first chapbook, Mountain Offerings, is slated for an April 2, 2024 publication date.
